1. Place Triathlon Königsbrunn (Sprint)

This weekend, I had prep-race 2/4 on the program. After last week’s success I wanted to accelerate at the Triathlon Königsbrunn over the sprint distance (0,5/18/5.5).

The race went solid from the beginning. As third woman out of the water (with about 3’ gap), I was able to make good pressure on the bike. The 18km route was relatively flat but very twisty, what brought permanent change of pace and strength-sapping kick-sprints with it. When transitioning to the run I got into position 2 and went with a 2.5 min gap onto the running track. I had imagined the hunting something more difficult, but after just 2km it was over and I was able to take the lead. After a fast and steady run (5,5k in 22.42min) I was, after 1.03,34 h in total, 1.5 minutes ahead of the second placed female when crossing the finish line. After a very intense workout Saturday with swim and bike tempo-training, I am more than happy with this additional interval-session. Results

For next week, I have with a sprint-race in Trum (A) and the relay-swim at Challenge Roth over 3,8km two big lumps on the program, before I head into a small regeneration phase , which is, however, challenging work-related.
