I recovered surprisingly quickly from the long distance in Zurich and genial, without greater fatigue, muscular and general health dropouts. Only 10 days after the race I started training again reasonably “normal”, my coach probably every day – by looking into a diary – close to a stroke, and I recently ask myself if I really gave everything … “Yes, surely “, the answer, but I would now just say, that I put a lot of emphasis on regeneration; the strategies kept as secret- at least one 🙂

In just 3 weeks, the Ironman 70.3 (Half distance) World Championships take place at beautiful Mooloolaba on Australia. Would it not be Anja, if between the two major events, she wants to run somewhere. And of course,  it would not be Anja, if she had not chosen for a small mountain race. That the Allgäu is a successful patch (Alpsee Immenstadt 2015), has been tried and tested, yesterday I went to the Half marathon as part of the Allgäu Panorama Marathon. The course, starting from Sonthofen – always straight and slightly uphill along the Iller – south direction to Oberstdorf (known from ski-jumping), shortly before the turn and after approximately after 11.5km up a hill for around 3km and 100 high-meters and then just running back for  7km again. A total of 240 meters of altitude gain; because of course you cannot hope for a personal best – especially if you already have a few hours and kilometers workout in the legs. The 21.1k were brutal  – at about 28 ° C – but fighting to rewarded after 1.33,52h with the 2nd place overall (of 175) between two track and field athletes. Results
