Alternative Training

The third of 39 training weeks until Ironman Nice just began and is still in the mark of “alternative training “. However, the whole thing did start slightly bumpy, due to prolonged side effects of my eye laser (blurred and limited vision in the left eye). Cycling was coordinate highly demanding.. In addition, an infection which takes longer than usual as the body needs all power for the eye-regeneration.

Where you currently can find me a lot is either in the mountains, on the mountain-bike or bouldering in the climbing hall. Those three sports are very powerful stresses and to strength the cycling.  Especially running up the mountains makes so fun 🙂 So far, the tours are moving in the orbit of around 17km , 1100meters difference in altitude and 3.5h hiking; which is definitely expandable – especially the height 🙂

The whole system will probably carry on for another 1-2 weeks followed by some specific preparation for Challenge Bahrain which takes place on December 6.
